Why is self-love so important?
Knowing that your self-worth is not dependent on your waistline, boyfriend or success, knowing that you have your own back, gives you enormous inner strength, which in turn, leads to your own greatness.
Unconditional self-love gives you the courage to try new things and to follow your dreams, because you have safety - you know that no matter what the outcome, you love yourself deeply.
When you love yourself, things start to change.
Your happiness, confidence and sexuality depend on how you see yourself. It always shows, when you love yourself. You will get happier, more confident and even more adorable.
Don't strive for perfection
Stop thinking that in order to love your body, you need to have a flat stomach, small hips and big boobs. Stop thinking that you need to be perfect. There is no such thing as a perfect body. Celebrate your uniqueness and start loving yourself just the way you are!
Worrying is a waste of time
Don't let your thoughts of what others think about you dictate your life. Your time is better spent, doing something else, than worrying about your figure. You'll miss out on some of the best moments of your life.
Respect yourself
Once you begin to treat yourself with the respect and care that you deserve, others also start to treat you respectfully.
Enjoy your food
Don't starve yourself. Food is meant to be eaten and enjoyed. And if you want to be healthy you have to EAT. Studies have shown that people who eat what they want, when they want it, and stop when they are satiated, are less likely to be overweight. Focus on health and feeling well and soon you will make better food decisions automatically. You'll want to nourish your body because you are grateful for it, so healthy choices will come with ease. Exercise, sleep well, feed your body with nourishing foods, and you're on the right way.
Be aware of negative self-talk
Stop speaking to yourself in a way that you wouldn't speak to your best friend. Our subconscious mind hears every word we say to ourselves and responds to it in a similar way. Make sure your self-talk is positive, motivating and supportive. When you start thinking in a negative way, always ask yourself: 'Would I say this to someone I love?'
Girls, please never forget: you are all amazing and beautiful, just the way you are! Love yourself first and the rest will follow.
